  RTRP Continuing Education


•Anyone who passed the Registered Tax Return Preparer test administered by the IRS between November 2011 and January 2013.
•Established state-based return preparer program participants currently with testing requirements: Return preparers who are active registrants of the Oregon Board of Tax Practitioners, California Tax Education Council, and/or Maryland State Board of Individual Tax Preparers.
•SEE Part I Test-Passers: Tax practitioners who have passed the Special Enrollment Exam Part I within the past two years.
•VITA volunteers: Quality reviewers and instructors with active PTINs.
•Other accredited tax-focused credential-holders: The Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation’s Accredited Business Accountant/Advisor (ABA) and Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP) programs.

Steps to enroll in our tax course.

Order processing

(a) Fill out the student agreement and registration form.

(b) create a user id

(b) Once your payment for the course is received, you will then receive a password and link to access the course and exam.

Study Method and Materials
Once you have paid you will be directed to the sign in page ,you can begin the course immediately. Each course has course materials included .You can move through the course at your own pace. Please be aware of the time limits for the course, which are listed under the policy section.. Upon successful completion of the course, you can print your "Certificate of Completion"
from the IRS on your PTIN acount.

Examination

The final examination is an open-book test and comprised of multiple-choice questions. You must earn a score of 70% or higher on the final exam in order to pass and earn your certificate. You may take the test three times . Please note the test is timed. You can review and change your answers until you end the test and submit for grading. The end button should only be used when you are finished with the test and submit it for grading. If you fail the test, your previous responses will be cleared and you must begin the test again.

Course Grading
If you do not pass the exam you will have a two other opportunities to do so. If the third test is failed, you will need to buy a new course which comes with new questions.

Course certificate (EA, RTRP and ERPAs only)

Once you have successfully completed an exam via internet, a Certificate of Completion will be immediately available for you to print for your records. The date printed on the Certificate of Completion is the date that you completed the course.

Course certificate( Other Tax Preparers )

Once you have successfully completed an exam , a Certificate of Completion will be vailable for the IRS on your PTIN account . The date printed on the Certificate of Completion is the date that you completed the course.


Reporting to IRS
ATP Business Solutions Inc directly reports electronically all student certifications to IRS withhin 72 business hours if your ptin and name is reported correctly by you to us.


Yearly Continuing Education Credits

To receive yearly credits course C. E courses must be completed before Dec 31 of each year.
